Is this service free?
Yes, it is free to sign-up. However, local SMS charges still applies if you have exceeded your quota of free SMS provided by your provider.
Singtel.
This system does not store any passwords if that’s what you are worried about (ie. security). Also, signup only from the link that is described in the “How to use” section of this blog. DO NOT click any link given to you by anyone else to signup.
This service is running off a prepaid card and I do not have the time or budget to spam you.
Cost. It is costly even for Twitter, let alone my tiny little free service. You may try Twe2.com to receive SMS alerts for replies and direct messages.

THIS SITE IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH TWITTER.COM.
Twitter.SG was the first domain name I bought for this little project, subsequently bought Tweet.sg since it’s shorter also less likely to confuse people with Twitter.COM.
Twitter offers a UK number for International users but I do NOT want to send an SMS overseas just to update my Twitter profile. So I came up with this service; just send to a Singapore number instead. This is a one way service; SMS to web.
I believe in the “Less is More” mantra. This system is minimalistic in design:
This is a FREE service (local SMS charges still applies depending on your provider’s free quota). I will try to keep it running so long I can afford my hosting (Linode Virtual Private Servers).
I appreciate your patience and understanding that there may be downtime that is not within my control but I will do whatever I can to keep the system up.

PS. We've been running about 2 years, the date is recent because we migrated from the old blog.
